1. New Apps on you Phone, which you never Installed

The phone manufacturer may have pre-installed some apps, make sure those are legit apps. If you don't need them, delete them. Always verify the apps on your phones and their source. If the app is neither installed by the manufacturer and nor by yourself, then it must be by a hacker.

2. Pop-ups start appearing on your device out of nowehere

This is the most common these days. You may have seen a lot of pop-ups saying you have won some prize money or some kind of Lottery ticket. Some ask you to click on some malicious links, mainly trying to scam you by asking you to enter your Bank details or personal details. Do not click on those pop-ups or links.

3. You are unable to switch off your device

You are trying to switch off your phone however it doesn't go off instead some Apps open up and you phone starts behaving weird instead of switching off.

4. Your phone reboots or switches off by itself

If you didn't reboot your phone or never switched it off however it does by itself, there are chances your phone is hacked.

5. Your phone opens apps ,dials numbers sends text by itself.

If you phone opens apps by itself without your knowledge, or if you find certain numbers dialled from your phone which you never did or certain texts which you never texted to anyone, this is another wake up call.

These are a few things to look for if you ever feel your phone was hacked. Remember the term " Data is the new oil". Your data is your responsibility, you should be always careful of the sites you visit and the apps you download on your phone. Always browse from a secure Wi-Fi network and always download apps from the genuine app stores. Stay away from any link which may look malicious or suspicious.
